Abstract
The Clinical Practice course is an elective subject designed to provide senior medical students with supervised exposure to real clinical environments. The course aims to enhance practical clinical skills, strengthen clinical reasoning, and support the transition from theoretical knowledge to patient-centered care. Students are given the opportunity to observe and actively participate in routine clinical activities under the guidance of experienced physicians.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate basic clinical and communication skills
  • Understand the organization and functioning of clinical workplaces
  • Apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings
  • Reflect on their clinical experience and professional development

    Students are required to complete a minimum of 75 hours in order to be awarded the credit.

    General note: The credit is given at the study department based on the confirmation about the practice.
    Information on course enrolment limitations: Students complete minimum of 75 hours to obtain the credits in IS MUNI. It can be attended only in faculty hospitals in Brno based on agreement of the head of the clinic.

    Students are required to independently arrange their internships within the faculty hospitals in Brno for a minimum duration of 75 hours. The placement must be confirmed on a designated form, which is subsequently submitted to the Homework Vault in the Information System (IS).
