Prerequisites (in Czech)
Předmět si zapisuje student, který bude psát diplomovou práci na katedře fyziky, chemie a odborného vzdělávání. Typicky ve druhém semestru magisterského navazujícího studia, nebo v osmém semestru dlouhého (pětiletého) magisterského studia.

Course objectives
The course is designed as a final course encouraging students to write their thesis meeting all the requirements placed on it. Completion of this course will ensure that the student submits thesis agreed by supervisor. The student should be ready for a successful defense of thesis and aware of the requirements stated by a commission on defense.
Learning outcomes
By passing the seminar the student acquires basic knowledge, skills and habits for writing and defense of the master thesis.
Syllabus
  • The student shall keep touch with the teacher (trainer, tutor) and discuss with him the thema of the thesis. The topic of the thesis can be selected by prior agreement with the supervisor or suggested in the package Diploma thesis - Physics, Chemistry or Vocational education.

Teaching methods
Individual consultations during the work on thesis.
Assessment methods
Credit is awarded for meeting all of the following points:
1) Submission of the thesis project (to an approved supervisor). Use the form in the "project_dp_bp.doc" file. The project should be prepared in accordance with the requirements of your thesis advisor.
2) Submission of a completed portion of the thesis of at least 10 standard pages, 20 titles of properly cited scholarly sources, and meeting the appropriate KFCHO Thesis Standards (on the department website in the Physics, Chemistry, Professional Education section). The student himself/herself SHALL submit the result of the check with the IS MU tool for plagiarism (up to 5% compliance). This will include a research section related to the thesis topic.
3) Completion of the "Online module for thesis writing" and the test titled "Test". Completion of the module and the test is REQUIRED. The person (approved thesis advisor) awarding credit will check that the student has completed the module and completed the final test. The "Online Thesis Writing Module" must be completed from the beginning of the semester.

The student will complete the assignments in accordance with the requirements of his/her approved thesis advisor and within the deadline set by the advisor. Please contact him/her with any questions.
