Course objectives
Students are able to use writing and printing Cyrillic form, read the text with comprehension, communicate in basic-life situations. Students know the basic vocabulary and the basic rules of Russian orthography and grammar.

Syllabus
  • 1. Phonetics. Practicing pronunciation.
  • 2. Practice writing.
  • 3. Russian sentence.
  • 4. Personal pronouns and greetings.
  • 5. Masculine nouns. The verb "to have" in Russian.
  • 6. Meeting. Pronoun наш / ваш (me / you).
  • 7. Russian infinitive verb, past tense, intonation of questions and answers, pronouns кто / что (KTO / STO).
  • 8. Feminine nouns.
  • 9. Neuter noun and pronoun.
  • 10.У меня есть. Conjugation of verbs.
  • 11. Pronouns мой / твой / свой (my, your, his), and demonstrative pronouns тот, этот.
  • 12. Basic numerals 0-20 in the nominative case, the verb быть, идти.

Teaching methods
Students work with electronic materials and use electronic support study, fulfil homework. Seminars.
Assessment methods
The credit consists of two parts: 1) written, 2) oral. Written test of the subject matter (success rate at 70%), then an oral interview with the teacher on the topics covered. For the oral part, the student also prepares a glossary expanding the vocabulary to the topics discussed / possibly to the topics that interest him (50 new terms).

Study Materials
The course is taught annually.
Teacher's information
If less than 5 students apply, the class will not take place. Students can attend the corresponding subjects of the Department of Russian Language and Literature. The teacher's materials located in the Information System of Masaryk University serve as study aids. Regular home preparation is recommended. Attendance is not compulsory, but is strongly recommended.
