- Abstract
- This course focuses on the comprehensive development of language competencies and communication skills in Russian. The primary objective is to enhance students' ability to communicate effectively and proficiently within selected thematic areas. The teaching emphasizes the development of interaction skills in both oral and written forms, paying close attention to both prepared and spontaneous oral production.
- Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- actively discuss and provide arguments within the thematic areas covered;
- clearly express and defend their opinions while appropriately utilizing new vocabulary;
- integrate and correctly apply acquired grammatical and stylistic knowledge in both oral and written communication.

- Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
The course is conducted through seminars with an emphasis on active communication and interaction. Key methods include:
- guided dialogues, talks, and discussions on the topics covered;
- group work and project-based activities within specific thematic areas;
- development of receptive skills through reading and listening to authentic Russian texts;
- utilization of modern technologies, including work with electronic resources and AI tools;
- independent preparation in the form of regular homework assignments.
- Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Requirements for course completion:
- active participation in classes;
- continuous completion and submission of homework assignments;
- successful completion of a credit assignment (an essay in Russian, approximately 1.5 A4 pages in length, on a selected topic).
- Alternate completion
- In the case of an internship abroad, the course may be completed in an alternative format. The student shall study all teaching materials independently and continuously upload homework assignments to the "Assignment Submission" folder (Odevzdávárna) in the Information System.
