- Teaching of full-time studies takes place regularly every week for 2 hours.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce applied drama, a process-oriented drama in the context of social pedagogy. Applied drama is an umbrella term for work with drama in education, in the therapeutic and community setting, depending on the degree of use of drama with other disciplines that benefit from philosophy and social sciences such as cultural studies, cultural ethnography, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, anthropology.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to define the concepts of applied drama, drama in education; and explain the influence of selected theater movements and pedagogical currents on the form of today's applied drama: , Theater in education and community theater, Freire's pedagogy of oppressed and progressive pedagogy; to propose a suitable method in the field of applied drama for work with various target groups of social pedagogy.
Syllabus
  • Introductory Drama in education workshop. Presentation of examples of good practice eg: Preventive programs at elementary schools through drama. Theater in Education. Theater of The Pppressed with homeless people, with young people in institutional care. Living library with people who have experienced difficult life situations (eg homelessness, domestic violence, addiction). Storytelling with seniors. Puppet as a tool of communication with seniors. Gestalt Theater Therapy in a pedagogical context. Playback theater in the context of war conflict, education.
