Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: integral of functions of one real variable, its applications, calculus of functions of more variables.
At the end of the course students should be able to find integrals of simple functions (in particular, rational ones), to apply integral calculus when computing areas and volumes, to deal with functions of more variables.
Syllabus
  • Primitive function; basic integration methods; integration of elementary functions; definite (Riemann) integral; geometric and physical applications; infinite integral.
  • Functions of more variables; limit, continuity, directional and partial derivatives; local and global extremes; implicitly given functions.
