Abstract
The czech society is getting old, the number of seniors, which want to live active, to educate their selves, to engage in various spheres, increases and this trend is a significant challenge for area of social pedagogy, for graduates of this specialization. The next theme of the subject is complicated situation of seniors in society, intergeneration gaps, aging of population, insufficient capacity of institutions focuseed on seniors and low prestige of old people in society. This problematics stretches into area of social work and social pedagogy. It is possible to find the most effective ways of activation of seniors by force of legworkpractice and researches.
