Course objectives
Students will be offered theoretical background for ELT with young learners and will be taught how teaching methods should be chosen and used.
Syllabus
  • 1 Teaching pronunciation with young learners 2 Countables and uncountables and how to teach them 3 Plural and methods of teaching 4 Adjectives, adverbs at the basic school 5 Comparisons and superlatives and the way of teaching them 6 How to teach present tenses 7 How to teach past tenses. 8 Tenses which do not exist in Czech 9 Conditional at the basic school 10 Conditional clauses and the way of teaching them 11 The role of grammar in the primary school language curriculum 12 The ways of presenting grammar to young learners. 13 Teaching vocabulary 14 Visuals in teaching vocabulary 15 Teaching aids used in teaching vocabulary
