Course objectives
The purpose of the subject is syntheses of the various knowledge of the contemporary Czech language that the students have win studying morphology, lexicology and word forming. Students analyse texts and they find in them morphological, lexical and word forming phenomena and they should recognise mistakes, too. The students should be able to analyse morphological changes of the word in the continuous text and sentence (for example compare to the syntactical function).
Syllabus
  • 1. The meaning of the word. Changes of the word meaning in the text and context. 2. The semantic of the word and word categories. Function of word sorts in the sentence. 3. The transposition among word categories. Transposition and syntactical function of the word sorts. 4. The origin of the word and the word forming analysis. Problems with the recognising the basic word for the word forming of the new word. Word forming language means, semantic of them. 5. The structure of the word and its connection with the word forming and morphological characteristic. Problems with word forming analysis. 6. Grammatical mistakes, correction of them. Morphological phenomena in the written and spoken texts, criterion of their valuation.
