Course objectives (in Czech)
The course is designed around a range of practical workshop activities which may either be used directly by the teachers. Alternatively they may be analysed for their underlying principles which can then be used by the teachers in the creation of the own classroom activities during the course.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Pronunciation and rhythm activities. Listen and doing activities. Reading activities and information retrieval. Written workshop activities. Oral activities. Problem solving. Use of jazz chants and repetition in learning. What can the second language teacher learn from the principles of first language acquisition? Concentration spans of young learners, a comparative study. Principles of collaborative language learning. What language learning principles can be identified with the workshop activities.
