Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: intepret basic principles of ecology and function of ecosystems. In the lecture crucial problems of the contemporary human society are discussed – usage of natural resources and conversion of environment.
Syllabus
  • 1. Main goals of environmentalistics, basic concepts. 2. Basic ecological (biological) concepts. 3. Running of matter and energy. 4. Protection of nature. 5. Energy. 6. Environmetalistics in school and household. 7. Polutants, toxicity and global environment problems - individual reports. 8. Environment generally, of the Czech Republic, regional - reports. 9. Landscape, how, I was born - environmental view.
