- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills at intermediate level. The basic study material is coursebook New English File Upper-Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials.
At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at intermediate level and communicate in the language fluently. - Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook New English File INTERMEDIATE (Student's book and Workbook), see Literature below. The syllabus includes Units 1 - 3, the focus is on speaking and listening activities and development of students' vocabulary.

Methods: discussions, group work activities, pair work activities, listening and reading tasks. The lessons will be focused on speaking, listening and reading. Credit test in January: summary of Units 1 - 3 - Language of instruction
