Course objectives
The aim of the tuition is the claryfication of the elementary survey of the actual problems of the evolution of ethnicity and jingoism from the geographical point of view and show the particularity of the situation in Czech republick. The students will gain the ability of aplication of the knowledge of ethnical problems on the elected countries and the ability of the geographical argumentation in the discussion of this problems.

  • 2. Regional and global importance of the existence of the territorial differentiation of ethnicity
  • 3. The actual ethnical differentiation of the population of the world and related problems
  • 4. The actual ethnical differentiation of the population of Czech republic and related problems
  • 5. Ethnical problems of the european integration
  • 6. Geographical aspekcts of the integration of ethnical minorities

Discussion Cooperative forms education Particular presentation
Assessment methods
The lessons are realized in seminar groups where students discuss the up-to-date subject. Student is given a topic on which to write an essay. The essay is obligatory to complete this course successfully. The essay should prove the ability of student to use knowledge of ethnic questions on population of different countries.
