Abstract
The goal is to improve language skills, enhance existing knowledge of French grammar and essential vocabulary. Grammatical and lexical structures in the textbook are analyzed and placed in contexts with other grammatical phenomena. More details are then practiced in the course Language Workshop 1A. The default method is a French textbook Campus 4, which is supplemented by other material from below literature. This course provides initial level of receptive and productive skills of communicative C1. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and the complex factual and literary texts, understand specialized articles and longer technical instructions, express themselves fluently and spontaneously, accurately articulate their thoughts and ideas, clearly expressed and well-structured written text, explain their views.
