- Course objectives
- The goal of the seminar is to acquaint the students with basic linguistic methodological problems on theoretical and practical levels, with the structure of a teaching unit, its planning, preparation and evaluation. Analysis of the textbooks of Czech and French editors is also included. At the end of this course, students should be able: to list the basic linguistic terms; to define the structure of a teaching unit; to analyse the textbooks of French; to apply the acquiered knowledges and skills at school.

- Introduction in the methodology of foreign languages teaching. Communicative competence and its components. Communication on the classroom. Strategy for language learning. Work with an error. Framework and School Educational Program for Basic Education. European Language Portfolio. Analysis of French language textbooks for various types of teaching and age categories.
