Course objectives
The following chapters are discussed in the seminar: Lexicology and word-formation, word-formation procedure, compound words and their correspondences (phrases and/or sentences), derivation, shortening, diminutives and gender, so that the students can see and explain the whole word-formation system of German and partially Czech. Hence they can compare and explain the differences between both systems at the end of the course.
