Course objectives
Get the general idea about the basics of processing technology usual textile materials from the raw material to finished product. Make an idea of the variety of requirements on the properties of fabric, depending on their practical application. Meet the parameters that are monitored for textiles and how they are set. The evolution of clothing in the context of the historical development of society, types of garments, the source material aspects of the choice of apparel, clothing accessories and components.
Syllabus
  • 1. Textile Industry - Introduction, statistics, world production, history and present of the textile industry in the CR, current trends and applications of textile products in different areas
  • 2. Classification of materials for the manufacture of textiles - x artificial nature, the most common fiber materials and their characteristics
  • 3. Cotton processing technology - from the field after harvest top yarn
  • 4. Wool processing technology - from the sheep yarn
  • 5. Production technology of synthetic fibers
  • 6. Processing technology of linear textiles - knitting, weaving, production of nonwoven fabrics - from the linear to the generalized unit
  • 7. Editing and dyeing of textiles
  • 8. Textile Testing - selected fabric characteristics and methods of identifying and interpreting
  • 9. Excursion to Textile Testing Institute
  • 10. Textiles and legislation - labeling requirements for textile products (material composition, maintenance symbols) as set out in the field of textile products and their certification
  • 11. The development of clothing in relation to the development of the society - The social aspects of the choice of clothing, colors - Aesthetics clothing - Clothing accessories, development, production
