Course objectives
The Aim of Tuition: With the link to the contents of the subject Ge4_GOP3 by form of seminars - on the basis of the concrete analysis and solving of selected problems to generalize some themes of the geography of population and settlements, to acquire its methods and to gain 1) the ability of aimed acquiring of new concrete konowledge of the dealing theme and 2) the ability of synthesis of the said knowledge within the complex framework of developmental relationship of partial geographical spheres - with emphasis on the problem of didactics transformation. At the end of course students should be albe to use informations in regional geography, interpret of basic informations in structure of people.
Syllabus
  • During the course, students will prepare 5 exercises. Seminar content is as follows:
  • 1. The source and character of statistical information, internet information. Didactic transformation.
  • 2. Demographic characteristics place of residence. Development of digital technologies. General and departmental didactics, knowledge, skills, habits, ...
  • 3. The concentration of population in the area. Lorenz curve, Gini coefficient and the index of heterogeneity. Didactic transformation.
  • 4. Demographic characteristics. Structure of the population by selected characteristics. Didactic transformation.
  • 5. Geography of the selected location. Settlement characteristics of the place of residence. Didactic transformation.

Students have a specific project from geography of population and from settlements. Semester paper: demography characteristic of residential town (region). After preapering students refer about your projects in class discusion.
