Course objectives
Main goals for students: - be able to define the function of educational anthropology as a social science - understand the place of educational anthropology in educational sciences - become familiar with selected anthropological theories.
Syllabus
  • During the semester will be discussed in an appropriate follow these issues: - Establishment and development of anthropology - The main concepts and theories in anthropology - Differences between people of different cultures - Language and communication - Cross-cultural factors in learning - The issue of values, attitudes and prejudices - ntercultural Education - Education of immigrants - The issue of different learning opportunities - Methods of anthropological research - Anthropology as a tool for mutual understanding between cultures in the world - Rites and customs in Moravia and Bohemia - Anthropological comparison problems festive occasions - Kinship systems in terms of anthropology.
