Assessment methods
Students have to pass a placement test at the beginning and at the end of the term and a final written test. The tests are focused not only on the vocabulary and grammar covered during the term but also on general knowledge of English at intermediate level. Students have to write 2 written assignements. Only then the students can sit the final oral exam proving their overall grammar and vocabulary knowledge (average score 70%) at the end of the semester. Students have to prepare for lessons throughout the whole term and do homework for each lesson, which is the base for their active participation in the seminars. Regular attendance and active participation are required. Most of the work is based on students' self-study.
