Course objectives
Students are to develop communicative skills, practice grammar and lexical items based on certain topics. Students advance from preparatory excercises to individual verbal and written expression by the means of discussions, excercises and writing.

Teaching methods
The student must prepare regulary for the seminar and do required home assingnments. Listening and reading russian texts.
Assessment methods
Colloquium - oral and written test (russian language). The discussion will be based on the topics from the course, the reading (Russian book - 100 - 130 p., the student will bring and show the book, and listening (audio, video, DVD). The student will also provide a vocabulary exercise book, which will contain at least sixty new words. During the credits the student will be assessed according to correct grammatical forms of words used, the content and used vocabulary, pronunciation and intonation.
