Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to interpret (1) taxonomy and (2) phylogenetics information connected with knowledge about (3) ecology and (5) distribution of invertebrate animals; (6) identify the most important representatives.

  • 1. "Protozoa" 2. Porifera 3. Cnidaria 4. Platyhelminthes + Gastrotricha 5. Rotifera, , Acanthocephala; Nematoda, Nematomorpha 6. Arthropoda I - Chelicerata 7. Crustacea I - Entomostraca - Branchiopoda; Malacostraca - Isopoda, Amphipoda, Decapoda 8. Myriapoda + Insecta I - Hemimetabola 9. Insecta = Ectognatha II - Holometabola 10. Mollusca I - Gastropoda) 11. Mollusca II - Bivalvia and Cephalopoda 12. Annelida: Polychaeta, Oligochaeta, Hirudinea 13. Echinodermata (Adriatic Sea)
