- Course objectives
- Student will get acquainted with specific needs of young language learners.Different readings for students will be recommended. Student will read articles related to the topics. At the end of the course students should be able to design adequate types of activities for young learners. Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice at schools via practical tasks.
- Learning outcomes
- Student:
- understands the specifics of teaching a foreign language to young learners
- is able to design different types of activities for young learners
- is able to apply theoretical knowledge in practice
- can reflect on his/her own experience and on the basis of the reflection can develop their teacher's competences
- can explain the basic didactic procedures on the examples of his/her own teaching materials which are collected in his/her Student teacher's portfolio. - Syllabus
