- Course objectives
- The goal of the subject is introduce students basic psychological concepts, theories and outstanding authors. Seminars elaborates on selected topics.
- Syllabus
- 1) Introduction to psychology
- concepts: scientific and folk psychology; work psychology, human resources, clinical psychology, counseling, educational psychology, psychotherapy; related fields: ethology,neurology, mathematics, philosophy etc., psychology as a helping profession, burn-out syndrome
- 2) Basic psychological schools and their origin
- concepts: associationism, gestalt psychology, behaviorism, cognitive psychology

- 3) Perception
- concepts: perception, neurological background; illusions, Rorschach test; cues in visual perception monocular – linear perspective, texture gradient, atmospheric perspective, shadowing, interposition, moving, usual size; perception constants; cues in visual perception binonocular, unconscious perception (Helmholtz); afterimages
- theories: constructivis theories, direct approaches, Gibson`s ecological theory
