Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop students the ability to stylize the accompaniment of folk or faux song in a way that corresponds with the character of the melodic line and features the songs, grow the student's belief that it is necessary to put emphasis on the fact that one and the same melody it is possible to accompany in a different way. The aim of the course is also successful the implementation of a rehearsal performance of the piece.
Learning outcomes
The Student is able to stylize the escort the entered melody and play the specified piece.
Syllabus
  • Stylization of accompaniment of folk or artificial songs in accordance with the character of the melody and of the function of the song. Playing of 10 songs any genre with transpositions (any overhead and lower second and third)and of 3 songs of "classical writer" of 20th century without transpositions (J. Ježek, J. Šlitr, Beatles etc.) Practice of a piano piece. 1. Concert composition 2. Training songs no. 1 of the formation of the "classics" of popular music 20. century (without transpositions) 3. Practice song no. 2 of the formation of the "classics" of popular music 20. century 4. Practice song no. 3 of the formation of the "classics" of popular music 20. century 5. Practical exercises.
Assessment methods
Credit. Lectures (piano lessons). The student plays any 10 songs with transpositions (any overhead and lower second and third) and 3 songs of "classical writer" of 20th century without transpositions (J. Ježek, J. Šlitr, Beatles etc.) Homeworks. Duty to attend the classwork.
