Course objectives
The students improve their instrumental skills. They can play small pieces for piano, they can use accompaniment to songs, create prelude, interlude, postlude to songs.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: - play minor scales (c, d, e, f, g, a, h) and chords with turns - play the minor cadences, chromatic modulations in all keys - play the accompaniments to 25 songs (15 songs of the 2nd grade, 10 songs of the 3rd grade) - create the prelude, interlude, postlude to the songs - stylizate the accompaniment to the songs (dance songs in 2/4, 3/4 beat, slowly songs) - transpose of choosen songs (with regard to pupils´ vocal range) - play the piano composition
Syllabus
  • Playing the instrument – the piano: a) playing the minor scales (c, d, e, f, g, a, h), harmonic, melodic, 2 octaves b) playing the chords (kvintakord with turns) c) playing the minor cadences, chromatic modulations in all keys, accompaniment d) the basics of improvisation: accompaniments to 25 songs (15 songs of the 2nd grade, 10 songs of the 3rd grade) - creating the prelude, interlude, postlude to the songs - stylization of the accompaniment (dance songs in 2/4, 3/4 beat, slowly songs) - transpositions of 3 choosen songs (with regard to pupils´ vocal range) e) playing the piano composition

Credit. Practising: 1) playing the minor scales (c,d,e,f,g,a, h minor) and chords 2) playing the cadences in minor scales (chromatic transpositions) 3) playing 50 songs (25+25), prelude, interlude, postlude, transpositions, playing with the singing 4) playing the piano composition
