Prerequisites
A1 level of English. A1 student can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Abstract
The course mission is to help students achieve A2 level of English. A2 student can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Cooking, food and restaurants; 5: Weather and countries; Grammar: Tenses (present simple and present continuous, past simple and past continuous, will, going to, present perfect simple), Modals (can, must, have to...), Articles, Prepositions, Countables/uncountables, Adverbs of Frequency, etc.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Practical language course: pair-work, class discussions, role-play, home and in-class reading, grammar and vocabulary practice, mini-presentations, on-line learning.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Continuous assessment. Final A2-level test. In order to be credited, the student must successfully pass the final A2 test(listening, reading, vocabulary and grammar). Pass mark = 70%.

Praktický přípravný kurz AJ pro mírně pokročilé studenty CŽV PdF, kteří si hodlají konsolidovat a zvýšit své znalosti angličtiny na úrovni A2 CEFR (slovní zásoba, gramatika, porozumění napsanému textu, poslech) potřebné ke zvládnutí předmětu Vstupní test A2 - AJ(k) (JVp001 nebo JVk001, příp. CJV_AJA2 nebo CJV_AJA2k) na úrovni A2 v lednovém termínu.
