- Prerequisites
- The aim of the course is to reflect on human psychology in the social context. Emphasis is on the thorough adoption and critical evaluation of sub-themes from the field of social psychology. The course also systematizes psychological knowledge about the influence of different social environments on individuals, their development and application in society. It directly connects psychology and social pedagogy and points out the determination of the human psyche in the context of different socio-cultural backgrounds, as well as possible ways to overcome this determination. The course follows up on the professional knowledge and skills from the study of psychological disciplines (basics of psychology, developmental psychology). Basic knowledge of contents of previous courses is a prerequisite for successful mastering of this disciplines.

- • to understand and explain familiar experiments of social psychology (Asch, Milgram, Zimbardo) • to predict the behavior of people in small and large social groups • to use basic terms of social and intercultural psychology • to understand the influence of the social environment on the human psyche formation • to assess and critically evaluate diagnostic results (especially test ones) with regard to the cultural background of clients • to suggest possible interventions for a better understanding of different cultures
