Course objectives
The aim of the course is to strengthen the competences of students in the field of special needs intervention. They will be guide in the strategies to work with basic intervention techniques in individual/group work with at-risk children/with behaviour difficulties/disorders in family, school, institutional enviroment. The emphasis is on the personality of the teacher as a facilitator in the process of rehabilitation. In the context of intervention, students should be familiar with the possibilities of the use of expressive therapies, including their practical use.
Learning outcomes
After the successful passing of the course the student will be to apply the strategy of intervention with the target group.

  • 1. Inclusive trends in institutional education/Standards of institutional care/individual Context of the intervention 2. The concept of resilience and inclusion in special needs intervention 3. Supportive measures as the methodological framework of intervention – critical access 4. Specific educational needs of the children with EBD/typology of personality of children as a basis of the differentiated approach to intervention 5. The specifics of the intervention in the context of the different needs of the target group 6.Supportive intervnention/crisis intervention 7. The methods of intervention, individual, group/interventions/intervention Topics 8. Specifics of support and intervention in children with autism spectrum disorders
