Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to develop real-life communicative skills, raise grammar awareness and develop fluency. The students should improve their existing knowledge of grammar, develop their speaking ability focusing on their own experience and opinions, build a bigger and better active vocabulary with focus on lexis in context and collocations to become fluent communicators. Development of listening and writing skills is also included.
Syllabus
The course work is based mainly on the coursebook 'Inside Out Advanced' (namely Units 11 - 13) and additional materials from various other sources. Week 1-4: Unit 11 Stories (telling and writing stories; future seen from the past, compound adjectives). Week 5-8: Unit 12 Words (new words in English, spelling, word games; collocations, whatever, etc.). Week 9-12: Unit 13 Conscience (Donating money to charities, Feeling guilty; collocations, special uses of the past simple).

Requirements: attendance 80% (if possible), active participation, all assigned homework and preparation throughout the whole course, a revision test after each unit, 2 written assignments, final credit - oral in pairs
