The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Basic taxonomical and phylogenetical information connected with the knowledge about development and distribution of invertebrate animals and their ecology. Identification and determination of the most important representatives.
Syllabus
  • 1. Protozoa I: Euglenozoa, Parabasala, Choanozoa, Rhizopoda, Radiozoa, Heliozoa 2. Protozoa II: Apicomlexa, Ciliophora 3. Animalia (Metazoa) Diblastica: Porifera, Placozoa 4. Animalia Diblastica: Cnidaria, Ctenophora, Myxozoa 5. Animalia Triblastica Protostomia: Platyhelminthes 6. Animalia Triblastica Pseudocoelomata: Rotifera, Acanthocephala, Gastrotricha, Cephalorhyncha (= Priapulida), Nematoda, Nematomorpha 7. Animalia Triblastica Coelomata: Mollusca: Polyplacophora, Monoplacophora, Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Scaphopoda, Cephalopoda 8. Annelida (Polychaeta, Aeolosomata, Clitellata), Nemertea, Pogonophora, Tardigrada, Onychophora 9. Arthropoda: Trilobitomorpha, Pycnogonida, Chelicerata 10. Crustacea: Branchiopoda (= Phyllopoda), Maxillopoda, Malacostraca 11. Myriapoda and Hexapoda: Entognatha (Protura, Collembola, Campodeina, Japygina) 12. Hexapoda Ectognatha: Apterygota, Pterygota Paleoptera (+ Plecoptera) 13. Hexapoda Ectognatha Pterygota: Polyneoptera, Acercaria, Holometabola 14. Kamptozoa (=Entoprocta), Bryozoa (=Ectoprocta), Phoronidea, Brachiopoda 15. Animalia Triblastica Deuterostomia: Echinodermata, Hemichordata
