Course objectives
The Aim of Tuition: The general acquaintance with theoretical geography as developing and systematizing framework of recognition of spatial aspects of comlex developmental relationship of natural, demographical and social sphere. The consesecutive survey of the development of geographical paradigmas and importance of theirs interdisciplinar reverberation by scientific and social practice. The possibilities of application to professional and educational work with the link to second subject of student's approbation and with the concrete direction at the theme of his (hers) diploma work.

  • The Fundamental Themes of Seminars:
  • 1) Theoretical geography as scientific, its importance and probléms
  • 2) Philosiphical bases of geography
  • 3) Metageography, the development of conceptions of geography and its inner structure
  • 4) Paradigmas and methodological problems of geography
  • 5) System theory in geography
  • 6) Ssynergetics
  • 7) Theoretical problems of component geographies
  • 8) Theoretical problems of regional geography
  • 9) Interidisciplinar chracter of geography and its partial disciplines in theory, social practise and education
  • 10) General problems of the didactics of geography in the contemporary school system
  • 11) General principles of the writing of professional geographical works with special regard to diploma works
  • 12) Selected applications to concrete themes of diploma works.
