Course objectives
These practices training develop and confirm theoretical knowledge of students obtained during their lectures and individual study. In addition to discussions about obtained theoretical knowledge, the main goal of practice is to motivate students to independent thinking about connections between individual processes involving in the human body. Students are supposed to understand the human organism to be a holistic system. In programmes dealing with ergonomic problems students should prove the existence of direct relations between anthropology and pupils’ health. Practice is divided into two blocs. The first one focuses on basics of ergonomics – the aim is to familiarise students with the knowledge how the (immediate) school environment can influence pupils’ physical and mental health. The second bloc consists of several selected practical exercises focused on biology of man – it follows up the practise bloc from previous term. The programmatic goal - obtaining of detailed knowledge about the human body morphology and physiology - understanding the principles of mutual coordination of the individual parts of the human body - understanding the principles of common co-ordinated participation of three main regulation systems, such as humoral, nervous and immune systems - recognising and understanding the most frequent disorders in structure and function of these regulation systems and understanding the essence of consequences of these disorders for the way of life and performance of the human individuals – especially in the period of prepubescence and preadolescence.
