Course objectives
Students learn the basic terminology necessary especially for future use. In the center stands the model of literary communication focused on literature for the young. Students are encouraged to use their knowledge in practical applications when interpreting literature.
Syllabus
  • The specific nature of literature for youth. Literary categories, kinds and genres. The structure of the literary work. An introduction to the theory of verse. Language means of the literary text taking into consideration the specific nature of literature for children and youth. Interpretative analyses of selected poetic and fictional texts of the literature for youth. The process of literary communication, characters, author, narrator, addressee, recipient and their mutual relationships.
