Abstract
Having met the course requirements, students can actively apply terminology of literary science. They are able to use they literary knowledge and interpret literary works from literature for children and young adults.
Key topics
1. Recommended literature. 2. Literature, theory of literature, basic terminology of the theory of literature. 3. Theory of a verse –prosodic systems, figures, stylistics figures. 4. Structure of the work – literature character, author, teller, addressee, recipients and their links. 5. Literary categories, types and genres. 6. Distinctive features of the literature for children.

Type of course: lecture Presentations comprise examples and and attemts at interpretation related to literature for children.

Credit. Students are expected to pass the final quiz focusing on the theory of verse, genology and the theory of literature terminology.
