Course objectives
The aim of the course is to obtain a general overview of the spatial context of localization of mineral resources and groundwater resources in relation to other geographical conditions and forecasts of particular areas.
Syllabus
  • 1. Creating a basic set of thematic maps, clearly showing the world (and the national) mining and quarrying.
  • 2. Classification of the use of renewable and exhaustible natural resources under the current structure and importance for society, the potential global stocks.
  • 3. Historical development of spatial structure of the world's raw material extraction.
  • 4. Status and prospects for the extractive industries in the Czech Republic.
