Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain: (1.) basic taxonomical and phylogenetical information; (2.) connection with the knowledge about reproduction and development; and (3.) distribution and ecology of selected groups of invertebrate animals; (4.) importance of selected species and groups for man; (5.) identification and determination of the most important representatives.

  • 1. Protozoa I: Mastigophora, Euglenozoa, Dinozoa 2. Protozoa II: Rhizopoda, Radiozoa, Heliozoa 3. Protozoa III: Apicomlexa, Ciliophora 4. Animalia (Metazoa) Diblastica: Porifera, Placozoa 5. Animalia Diblastica: Cnidaria, Ctenophora 6. Animalia Triblastica Protostomia: Platyhelminthes 7. Animalia Triblastica Pseudocoelomata: Rotifera, Acanthocephala, Gastrotricha, Nematoda, Nematomorpha 8. Animalia Triblastica Coelomata: Mollusca: Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Scaphopoda, Cephalopoda 9. Successful passing of examination, carried out by means of written test (ABCD), is based on extended study (from selected literature sources) as well as particularly on personal practical experience with morphology, anatomy etc. of selected species gained during practical course (ZBEL).
