Course objectives
The aim is to deepen knowledge and practice of practical language training in oral and written expression, grammar and communicative skills. Essential component of the course is to improve oral expression by phonetic, lexical and grammatical. Students simultaneously develop their skills of listening and reading at work with texts and current periodicals. The main emphasis of the course is placed on developing communicative skills through dialogue, discussions and debates with the use of Russian newspapers and magazines, the Internet, and Russian television.

Teaching methods
Active work in the workshop, performance assignments, individual work with the Russian press and the internet, searching for materials as a basis for discussion.
Assessment methods
Writing an essay based on the outline of the course (ie, conversational topics) of your choice. Hours of work - a standard page of text. Work will be reviewed and evaluated by the teacher. If you are at work there are grammatical, lexical and stylistic errors, the work will be returned for reprocessing. The deadline of the first version - the last week of teaching. Each student will prepare a brief presentation on a topic selected by the oral submissions at a length of about 5 minutes. and on which students can discuss the others.
