Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
define and justify the use of CLIL in Czech schools
set the subject and language aims for CLIL lessons
plan,teach and evaluate a CLIL lesson
identify useful materials for CLIL teaching

  • 1. What is CLIL and how to apply it to a Basic school education
  • 2. Varieties of CLIL and foreign experience
  • 3. Rationale for using CLIL in a Basic school
  • 4. Lesson planning in CLIL – setting the aims and choosing the methods
  • 5. Materials and resources – choice and evaluation
  • 6. Students´assessment in CLIL
  • 7. Practice teaching in schools
  • 8. Reflection and evaluation CLIL
