Abstract
The main aim is to introduce students to contemporary Russia: geography, culture, architecture, customs, cuisine, mentality of the population. Furthermore, to develop language skills and speaking skills by speaking exercises, working with the Internet, Russian-speaking press and literature.

The content of the subject was included in the following topics: 1. Painting. Museums of Russia. 2. Russian music. Folklore, classical music, original song. 3. Theatre. 4. Ballet. Djagilevovy Russian season. 5. Film. History and present of Russian and Soviet film. 6. Czech - Russian relations.

6 hours contact - students work independently with the Russian-speaking lyrics, seek information on topics discussed, prepare presentations.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
The quality of information and also the correct pronunciation, intonation and vocabulary. During the semester students prepares a presentation topics memorized.
