- At the end of the course students should be alble to:
identify selected species based on the twigs with leaves, habitus, buds, fruits and seeds;
summarize determination characteristics of selected species;
determine species by key;
determine whether the taxon is native or non-native;
summarize the ecological requirements of individual taxa;
decide whether the species is protected;

- Teaching methods
- verbal methods: lecture, explaining, the work of literature, the work with key designation, the work with atlas demonstration methods: observation The course includes two trips to Brno parks.

- assessments methods: the practical skills of woody species, seminar work.
Fulfilling reqirements:
1) attendance - 2 absences are allowed;
2) test - recognition of woody species (12 specimens after 2 points + bonus job (1 point). Maximum 25 points, it is nescessary to get 18 points.
3) long-term observations of selected hardwood species (every two weeks throughout the semester) including photographs 4) semester project - conclusions from long-term observations of hardwood species (description of changes during the semester equipped with your own photos) - Language of instruction
