Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
-on the basis of acquired knowledge to understand and be able to explain the main physical, chemical, and biological factors affecting health and their effects;
-to interpret the adaptability of humans on the risk factors in the living and working environment;
-to use information about the principles of first aid for injuries and poisonings;
- to use argumentation for a health lifestyle as disease prevention;
- to use basic information about diseases for the prevention of school and organized extracurricular activities;
- to use knowledge on psychological stress in the school environment and its effects on health;
- to explain the dangers of substance abuse.
Syllabus
  • Topics:
  • -the main physical, chemical, and biological factors affecting health and their effects;
  • -adaptability on the risk factors in the living and working environment;
  • -the principles of first aid for injuries and poisonings;
  • -basic information on diseases for the prevention of school and organized extracurricular activities;
  • -knowledge of psychological stress in the school environment and its effects on health;
  • -the risk of the effects of substance abuse.
