Course objectives
At the end of the course students acquire basic knowledge on the problems of contemporary vocabulary, of its sources, development, enrichment and changes in the view of general linguistics and socio-linguistics.

  • 1. Paronyms. Homonyms. 2.Synonyms and periphrases. 3. Antonyms and antiphrases. 4. Languge peculiarities of contemporary francophony. 5. Language levels. Contemporary language aspects. Argot. 6. Etymology of word connections.
