Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: understand and explain the importance of family education in educational context; apply to information about education in collaboration between the family and kindergarten; submit justified (reasoned thought out, rational) decisions in dealing with the influence of family environment on child development; interpret the strategy of Family Education.
Syllabus
  • 1. - 2. Basic terminology context for the theory of family education (family, marriage, household, family characteristics, family function, types of marriage, external and internal forces of cohesion of marriage, types of matrimonial causes, developmental stage families). 3. Biological foundations of parent and partner behavior, cultural influences shaping the family, family network and family the concept of social reality. 4. The position of the child in the family before and now. 5.- 6. Importance of family environment for the child's personality development, internal and external conditions of family education. 7. -8. Material (economic) factors of family environment and their impact on children's education. 9. Psychological and demographic factors, family environment and their impact on children's education (internal stability of the family, natural structure of the family). 10. Cultural-educational family environment factors and their impact on children's education (value orientation, education parents, readiness of parents to raise children). 11. Parents and family members as educators. Specific features of the educational role of father, mother, siblings and grandparents. 12. Cooperation between family and kindergarten.
