Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to apply the theory in the texts of the given period; to demonstrate the main elements of differentiate individual literary styles in the texts. At the end of this course, students should be able to apply the acquired knowledge in composing written reports for seminars and in BA theses.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able: - to learn the history of French literature of the given period; - to define mains elements of differentiate individual literary styles; - to illustrate the theory by means of texts; - differentiate individual literary styles of the given period; - to categorise them chronologically and compare them reciprocally; - to apply the acquired knowledge in composing written reports for seminars and in BA theses.
Syllabus
  • 1. Thematic and literary theoretical viewpoints of the analysis. 2. Comparison with another thematically related text of the same period. 3. Analysis of a historic context. 4. Comparison with another thematically related text of another period. 5. Individual work with a selected text. 6. Preparation for literary text analysis in bachelor and diploma works.
