Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the basic facts of Russian history from the epoch of Peter I till the end of the 20th century and follows the subject of Russian history 1. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of Russian history in the European context. Great weight is given to the introduction of not-yet-familiar knowledge and facts, to the current interpretation of Russian history. The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the development of Russian history from the time of Peter I to the end of the 20th century. Students will be acquainted with the basic facts of the Russian history of this period.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to understand and interpret Russian history in the period of development of Russian history from the time of the reign of Peter I to the end of the 20th century in a European context. He will also be able to include the historical events of the period in the context of the development of Russian literature and explain the influence of some events on the development of Russian language and culture.
Syllabus
  • Content of seminars 1. Catherine II - her internal and foreign policy. 2. Colonization of Ural, Siberia and the Far East. 3. Russia v ~ 1. The mid-19th century war with Napoleon, the Vienna Congress, the Decafarists. 4. Russia in the Second half of the 19th Century - - the onset and reform of Alexander II. On the Russian throne. 5. Russia at the beginning of the 20th century - Revolution of 1905, Stolypin's reform. 6. Russia v ~ 1. World war, external politics, internal situation. 7. Russia in the period 1917 - 1922, V. Lenin. 8. Russia in the 1920s and 1930s, NEP, USSR, Stalin. 9. Russia in the Second World War. 10. Russia after 1945, the Warsaw Pact, the RVHP. Russia in 50. Years and in the 60s. Years, the cult of Stalin, Khrushchev, the so-called Caribbean crisis. 11. Russia in 70. And the 80s, Brezhnev and his successors, Gorbachev - a period of perestroika and glasnost. Russia at the turn of the 80s and 90s. Flight, breakdown of the USSR, the emergence and role of the CIS. 12. Russia in 90. 20th century And today, the Russian Federation as the successor state of the USSR, Putin and Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, V. Putin.
