Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge of intervention approaches and strategies in education of pupils with special educational needs in the environment inclusive of high school and the environment of schools for pupils with special educational needs.
Learning outcomes
After completing the discipline, the student will be able to specify the interventions and approaches to pupils with special educational needs at secondary school.

  • The terminological definition of the concepts of integration, inclusion
  • The learner with special educational needs in an inclusive environment of high school
  • Strategy in the education of pupils with special educational needs,
  • The legislative framework for inclusive education,
  • The system of advisory services with an emphasis on middle school
  • The framework educational programmes for secondary education
  • The conditions of education of pupils with special educational needs in secondary education
  • The organization of training - differentiation, individualization, cooperative learning, individual education plan, heterogeneous learning groups, team teaching
  • The specifics of education of pupils with special vzdělávavími needs in an environment of inclusive middle schools and secondary schools for pupils with special educational needs (mental disability, sensory disability, autism, multiple disability, physical disability).

Lectures, ccompanied by an interactive discussion on the selected topic.
Assessment methods
Attendance: 75%. The ending of subject: written test (15 questions) - to pass the test is neccesary 75 % of right answer.
