Course objectives
Course objectives
to gain theoretical knowledge about a presentation as one of the types of personal speeches
to develop the ability to apply this knowledge in the preparation of a presentation
to develop own strategies for the successful presentation delivery
to minimalize nervousness and fear of speaking in front of the public
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the students have theoretical knowledge about a presentation as one of the types of personal speeches, they are able to apply this knowledge in the preparation of a presentation, they have their own strategies for the successful presentation delivery and they can minimalize nervousness and fear of speaking in the public.

  • 2. Delivery (Week 5 – Week 9)
  • Nervousness
  • Stance, eye contact, gestures
  • Contact with the audience
  • Time management
  • 3. Feedback (Week 10 – Week 12)
  • Analysis of individual performances (students are recorded after their approval)
  • Additional tips and tricks for the successful delivery of a presentation based on the analysis of their performances

Active participation in the seminars, regular presentations, at least one of them on B2 oř C1 level (depending on the level at the beginning od the course). For colloquium plus submission of one presentation in PowerPoint.
