Course objectives
The students will learn about burnout and ways in which they can avoid it as teachers. They will also learn techniques related to well-being as teachers or future teachers.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to: -identify factors leading to burnout in the teaching profession -identify strategies to avoid burnout - be able to practice strategies for well-being

Teaching methods
Teaching will happen in 2 blocks. The teaching sessions will be in the form of lectures, discussions and role-plays. Between the 2 sessions students will be asked to read some literature and to keep a well-being diary.
Assessment methods
To pass the course students will need to: 1. Attend the sessions and participate in them actively (30 points) 2. Keep a diary between the sessions (20 points) 3. Write an extended essay on a chosen topic or create an online poster showing information they have learned in the course (50 points)
