Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop linguistic knowledge and communication skills in Russian, specifically: - Developing the ability to communicate within selected topics;
- development of interaction skills in oral and written expression;
- improving prepared and spontaneous oral expression;
- developing reading/listening comprehension skills and the ability to convey the content of a text in one's own words.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
– discuss conversational topics;
– to express their thoughts with the use of a new lexicon in written and spoken language;
– correctly use grammatical and stylistic means;
– to confront the grammatical and lexical phenomena of Russian and Czech.

  • 1.-2. Architecture: types of buildings and dwellings, East Slavic "izba".
  • 3.-4. The world of feelings: gestures and facial expressions.
  • 5.-6. The cultural phenomenon of the meme.
  • 7.-8. Peoples and languages of Russia.
  • 9.-10. Procrastination vs. decision paralysis.
  • 11.-12. The 21st century family.
